Clear-Com Communication Systems will introduce version 5.0 of its Eclipse Digital Matrix intercom system at NAB2008.
Acting as a central switching unit for communications across a broadcast operation, Eclipse Digital Matrix version 5.0 links Clear-Com’s V-Series Panels and CellCom wireless beltpacks and headsets for universal access to communications in the studio or the field.
Version 5.0 offers increased connectivity and expandability via robust E1/T1 telecom connection, fiber linking with intelligent switchover and AES digital connectivity to V-Series panels for flexibility in outside broadcast (OB) truck applications.
Working in concert with an E-FIB card, fiber linking between Eclipse intercom matrixes of the Median and Omega classes enables large, even multivenue productions, to tie their intercom systems together. Multiple Eclipse systems can then act as one non-blocking Matrix using redundant, high-capacity fiber.
