Crispin to support SMPTE S22-10 Data Exchange
Crispin has announced that it will provide support for the data exchange protocol under development by the SMPTE S22-10 Data Exchange Working Group.
The goal is for real-time data exchange for traffic, automation and digital delivery (content delivery and program management) systems to communicate seamlessly and without manual intervention.
In 2004, the SMPTE S22 Committee on Television Systems Technology created the S22-10 Data Exchange Working Group. Its goal was to unite various vendors to devise a standard that manufacturers could follow to allow traffic, automation, programming management and content delivery systems to communicate. Crispin has been involved in writing the outline of the protocol.
