DNF Controls Debuts Dakota at NAB
At the NAB Show, DNF Controls will debut the Dakota, a replay control solution for on-air announcers and talent that offers simple and safe control over on-air replays—pause, play, slo-mo forward and slo-mo reverse at fixed speeds—on the on-air channel. Dakota automatically switches control of the on-air channel to the announcer’s control panel and makes it easy to enable or disable announcer control from the production control room.
Its easy-to-see tally indicators let announcers know when they have control. Different levels of control can be provided to different announcers and talent and Dakota can be easily configured by production personnel to provide the desired level of control to a given announcer. Dakota is built on DNF Controls’ field-proven components: USP-8 Universal Switch Panel, GTP-32 GPI Tally Processor and SW1X8 RS422 switch.
Also at NAB, the Universal Automation Backup System (UABS) from DNF Controls, which backs up primary and secondary on-air automation systems. The UABS reads playlist files from most major automation system manufacturers as well as most major traffic list files. It supports manual and time-triggered events, and provides an as-run log.
DNF Controls will be at booth N1721.
