Doremi Introduces Slow Motion Server for HD Video
Doremi Labs unveiled a new high definition server for slow motion replay applications at the recent SMPTE conference in Pasadena, Calif.
Based on Doremi's V1-UHD video disk recorder, the new server targets live sporting events. One channel can be set to record the live event, while the other is free to playback any part of the recorded video in slow motion. The server records at 720p at 8 bit resolution via its HD-SDI input ¾ the company says 720p at 60 frames per second is the best option for recording smooth slow motion video playback.
Besides the slow motion application, the server can be set to operate as a standard V1-UHD disk recorder. The V1-UHD records and plays uncompressed HDTV 720p, 1080i 1080p (24,25, 30fps and sf) at 8 or 10 bit resolution.
