Enco’s DAD supports SoundExchange
Enco Systems, a provider of digital audio delivery technology, announced the integration of SoundExchange into the latest versions of DAD, its Digital Audio Delivery System.
DAD is an audio playout automation and control system for TV and radio broadcasting. The system enables broadcasters to get quick access to all audio content on a network. DAD TV, the TV version, is tailored for use in live TV production.
DAD version 5.1e and later supports reporting to SoundExchange, the entity designated to collect and distribute royalties for performance of copyrighted materials from certain U.S.-based broadcasters.
Enco said the upgrade could prove useful to webcasters who are obligated to pay royalties and file reports to SoundExchange for performance rights.
Support for the SoundExchange reporting is a free feature and is available to any DAD user currently under a technical support agreement.
