Euphonix System 5-BP Euphonix showed new DSP cards for its System 5-BP digital audio mixing system at IBC2008. The new DSP cards increase channel count to over 300 channels with full redundancy.
The new Euphonix high-density fiber stagebox solution for OB applications also made its IBC debut.
System 5-BP was shown with its EuCon Hybrid option, which allows the console to control external DAWs, such as Pro Tools, Nuendo, Logic Pro and Pyramix via the high-speed EuCon Ethernet control protocol. System 5-BP can simultaneously control its own DSP channels also.
Also new at this IBC were the new Artist Series controllers, the MC Control with touch-screen and jog wheel and the eight-fader MC Mix. They were demonstrated integrated with Final Cut Pro via the EuCon protocol. MC Mix can control fader and pan levels within Final Cut Pro while the MC Control has the ability to speed up and enhance the video edit process thanks to multiple programmable banks of 12 soft keys and 24 on-screen soft keys.
