Evertz has made available IntelliGain, which controls the loudness of audio programs on the fly, for many of its products. It works with mono, stereo and multichannel audio per program and can handle up to eight programs simultaneously. The objective loudness calculation is based on ITU-R BS.1770.
One of the biggest challenges facing the broadcast industry is maintaining audio and video synchronization throughout the broadcast chain. Evertz also has introduced IntelliTrak, a program video and audio lip-sync analyzer. It provides a non-intrusive audio and video lip-sync analysis without the addition of a watermark. Using VistaLink PRO, IntelliTrak reports measurement accuracy of less than 2ms and offers an optional automatic resynchronization. It can be installed as a value-add option on many Evertz products.
