Fast Forward Video introduces Q HD digital video recording board

published Fast Forward Video has launched the Q HD board-level HD digital video recorder (DVR) based on the JPEG2000 (J2K) compression codec for recording HD-SDI video signals.
Designed to be embedded in HD video recording applications, the Q HD provides the board-level DVR technology used in FFV's Elite HD and Omega HD DVR systems with J2K compression to record 1080i, 720p and 480i. The Q HD records at data rates of 100Mb/s, offering 4:2:2 sampling and full 10-bit quantization.
The Q HD also provides HD-SDI I/O capabilities and features RS-422 control using Sony, Odetics and FFV serial protocols.
