FLO TV goes national
By TVTechnology
published FLO TV went live last week after a five-month delay of U.S. digital TV conversion forced the QUALCOMM subsidiary to put its deployment plans on the back burner. Fifteen major metropolitan markets went live immediately on June 12. By the end of the year, FLO TV expects to be live in 100 major markets and reach 200 million potential customers by year’s end.
The company also plans to be in customers' cars as well on their handsets. In January, FLO TV announced an exclusive deal with in-vehicle entertainment company Audiovox to produce FLO TV-ready overhead drop-down and head rest video systems. FLO TV is available from AT&T and Verizon.
