Global video transmission service provider Genesis Network has activated a point of presence (POP) in Milan, Italy, surpassing the century milestone for POP locations worldwide.
The Milan POP joins recent additions in Sydney, Hong Kong, and Jerusalem. In addition to its turnkey, fully managed video and data services, Genesis Networks provides options including portable bandwidth, allowing broadcasters to make the most flexible and efficient use of their bandwidth, and the IRIS real-time booking system.
IRIS, a customer-controlled, Web-based program, allows broadcasters to monitor and manage transmissions across the network, scheduling, routing and monitoring their broadcast transmissions directly and in real time.
