GlobeCast to show WING global IP-based network
GlobeCast will demonstrate its latest delivery service, Wireless Content Exchange Networks (WING) – at NAB2005. The global IP-based contribution network uses fiber and satellites to manage global content ingest, storage and live-to-air streaming directly from a laptop.
Laptop newsgathering changes how reporters file, edit and broadcast news reports from the field. IP-enabled file-based content exchange networks allow reporters to file live or recorded stories directly from any laptop or workstation over any wired or wireless Internet connection to a central exchange hub.
GlobeCast and Eagle Broadband will jointly introduce IPTV Complete, a turnkey IPTV solution that enables telephone companies, municipalities, utilities, universities and real estate developers to deliver more than 200 channels of IPTV video services in America.
