HP debuts latest platform for interactive mobile multimedia services
HP last week unveiled the latest version of its OpenCall Media Platform, version 4.0. The enhanced media platform is aimed at operators looking to provide mobile and broadband customers with personalized, interactive multimedia services.
The HP OpenCall Media Platform 4.0 is a carrier-grade media server that handles call connections and the specialized digital processing required for services offering multimedia content. Operators can employ it to offer mobile and broadband subscribers interactive voice and video response systems, multimedia portals to video and music, video messaging, video blogging, audio and video conferencing, video sharing, participation TV and personalized video ring-back tones. It can run multiple interactive multimedia services on a single platform and can be deployed several ways via Web services environment using VoiceXML or Java, or a next-generation environment based on the Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) architecture
