Dutch encryption specialists Irdeto Access will demonstrate its IPTV system at NAB2005. Deployed at SureWest Communications in Sacramento, Calif, the Irdeto system incorporates major components of broadcast TV, VOD, middleware and content security. It offers a choice of a secure software client or a physical smart card that has a patented over-the-air update technology.
Other demonstrations will include HD content-streaming over IP through an IP set-top box with an HD output, and a mobile demo of video streamed live as a customer channel surfs on a cell phone
Irdeto Access, a subsidiary of multinational media group Naspers, will be in Booth SU8365.
