iVast Introduces Live Broadcast Encoder

iVAST has introduced its hardware-based Live Broadcast Encoder 2200 (iLBE) and Receiver/Decoder 2210 (iRD).

The iLBE 2200 is a 1RU rack-mountable MPEG-4 encoder that features MPEG compression and delivers video at a low bit-rate. It encodes Advanced Simple Visual Profile (ASP) and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) for real-time delivery over unicast or multicast IP connections. Features include video acquisition via analog and digital interfaces, remote administration, scheduling and simultaneous store and play options for monitoring and archiving.

The iRD 2210 leverages unicast or multicast IP protocol to receive compressed media bit streams for baseband output via Serial Digital Interface (SDI with embedded AES/EBU audio) or standard analog outputs (composite). It's built with a configurable codec and network-stack, and includes IP acquisition, MPEG-4 Simple and ASP and Advanced Audio Codec, with upgrade capabilities to H.264/AVC.
