JVC to spotlight ProHD
The HDV standard GY-HD100E can be shoulder-mounted and is light and compact enough for handheld shooting.
JVC will showcase its ProHD range of products for the first time to the European and international broadcast and production community at IBC2005.
The ProHD range includes the new 3-CCD GY-HD100E camcorder and the BR-HD50E recorder/player. These can record in both PAL SD and HD using the HDV standard. The GY-HD100E can be used shoulder-mounted yet is light and compact enough for handheld shooting. It comes with interchangeable lenses, mechanical stops on the zoom, focus and iris controls, twin XLRs and camera set-up positions that can be memorized on a transferable SD memory card.
New film production accessories developed especially for the GY-HD100E camera will be on display. These include the 35mm film lens P&S Technik Mini 35 Connection Kit that enables the depth of field, focus and angle of view to be virtually the same as those of a 35mm motion picture camera. An Optex lens adaptor for a 300mm Nikon lens, Chrosziel Matte Box (411-53PK) for control of light and Sachtler tripods will also be featured on the stand.
