Laird Designs WaveShot For DV Direction
By TVTechnology
published Laird Telemedia debuted its WaveShot on-camera wireless video transmitter system. Canon or Sony camera batteries clip on to the WaveShot bracket to power the system, and images are transmitted up to 300 feet to a UHF-ready pocket or tabletop TV. There is a choice of six UHF channels based on the unused TV channels in the area. It is primarily designed for directing a multi-camera DV production, but can be used in other areas of film and video production, such as Steadicam and video assist. The system features FastPan technology, facilitating transmission of the video image during rapid camera panning and eliminating image lag.
