Latens launches ECO 4.0 IPTV middleware
Latens has announced the U.S. launch of release 4.0 of its ECOsystem (ECO) IPTV middleware.
The ECO 4.0 IPTV middleware is secured with Latens software-based conditional access. Built on open standards, ECO is customizable, allowing telcos to adapt the platform to their unique competitive demands and to continue to innovate as their business develops. It also can be deployed as a preconfigured system, allowing operators to get to market quickly and at a lower cost.
The new features of ECO 4.0 mean U.S. telcos can offer a series of enhanced TV services across all home devices. ECO is easy to configure and includes a second-generation user interface (UI), VoIP and secure pay-TV functionality across a home networking environment composed of STBs, DVRs and PCs.
Latens will exhibit ECO 4.0 with ADB set-top boxes at Telco TV Nov. 11-13 in Anaheim, CA.
