LG to offer full YouTube functionality on handsets
LG Electronics plans to offer the full YouTube service on selected handsets at the end of this year.
As part of the agreement with YouTube, LG will install a user interface on the handsets enabling users to film, upload and view videos from the popular video-sharing service directly from their LG mobile devices.
This is not the first mobile partnership between LG and YouTube parent company Google. In April, the two launched the LG-KS10, an HSDPA smartphone featuring Google’s search, Gmail Mobile and Maps Mobile services in Italy. YouTube content is also offered through Verizon’s V CAST mobile TV service and AT&T.
