Linear Acoustic Exhibiting in Telos Stand
Located within the Telos Systems stand, Linear Acoustic will show the new AeroMax-5.1 10-channel audio processor and the LA-5151 MetaMax metadata loudness processor at IBC2007.
The Aeromax-5.1 combines 10-channel processing with surround-sound upmixing, metadata handling and 5.1-channel Dolby Digital (AC-3) encoding. A fully processed Lt/Rt or LoRo downmix of the main program audio is continuously available via both digital and analog outputs for legacy two-channel paths. A front-panel headphone connector provides simple local monitoring. Built-in AutoMax processing fixes two-channel audio that is being sent to consumers as wrongly signaled 5.1-channel.
The LA-5151 MetaMax series Metadata Loudness Processor for DTV fully controls loudness in the compressed domain, eliminating the need for decoding/re-encoding or destructive PCM processing. Using standardized metadata inserted within the digital broadcast signal just prior to transmission, MetaMax generates dynamic range control parameters suited to television broadcasting, protecting viewers automatically from loudness shifts, while the audio quality remains untouched.
Linear Acoustic will be in Stand 8.239.
