Linear Acoustic to offer AEROMAX-5.1
At IBC2007, Linear Acoustic will highlight its new AEROMAX-5.1 10-channel TV audio processor, which combines network-proven dynamics processing with surround-sound upmixing.
The new audio processor has the ability to handle metadata and extensive local audio features as well as offers optional 5.1-channel Dolby Digital (AC-3) encoding.
AEROMAX-5.1 accepts 5.1-network and two-channel local audio, as well as digital or analog auxiliary stereo audio. A fully processed Lt-Rt or Lo-Ro downmix of the main program audio is continuously available via both digital and analog outputs for legacy two-channel paths.
Linear Acoustic will also highlight its Model LA-5151 MetaMAX series metadata loudness processor, a metadata-based loudness controller for DTV. The LA-5151 controls loudness in the compressed domain and eliminates the need for decoding/re-encoding or destructive PCM processing.
