Litepanels has launched a broadcast lighting division to support its ongoing sales and marketing of its proprietary HD-friendly light-emitting diode (LED) lighting technology into ENG and news studio applications.
According to the company, electronic newsgathering (ENG) crews began using the on-camera Litepanels Mini because of its soft-projected output, low battery-drain and ability to be dimmed without affecting color balance.
In the studio, the company aims to assist broadcasters with the unique challenges of lighting for HD presentation. According to the company, the soft quality of light provided by Litepanels and its full-control dimmers make the fixture an attractive solution for lighting HD news studios.
