London HD facilities house turns to Quartz for routing
The Xenon router can house optional plug-in Signal Processing Technology (SPT) modules that add features within the frame.
Quartz has provided the routing equipment for an expansion of 24-hour HD facilities house Sumners, outside of London.
A multi-format Xenon router, configured as 32x32 HD and 64x64 serial digital video, and two 32x32 analog Topaz routers are feeding five new Avid edit suites, a new graphics area, a daVinci HD grading suite and a Pro-Tools Dolby-E Surround Sound Dubbing Theater. The routers also feed to and from the existing facilities and studios.
The routers went live in early October. The new equipment was supplied through Mitcorp UK.
