DAVID Systems is showing its content management system, DigaSystem, integrated with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server at NAB2009. The combined solution enables Web-based content sharing and editing of media assets in both browse and high-res quality. Connecting departments, customers, freelancers and on-site journalists through the combined functionality of SharePoint and the DigaSystem product line can maximize team efficiency and reduce operating costs.
The SharePoint integration enables journalists, whether on-site or in remote correspondent offices, to view or edit material from almost any location in the world via an Internet connection.
The solution provides SharePoint Web components with Silverlight plug-ins to search through a table structure similar to DAVID Systems’ database backend, thus offering a familiar working environment for both DigaSystem and SharePoint users. Once a file is selected, it can be viewed or edited with DAVID Systems’ high-res video editor, DigaCut MT.
