Miranda Technologies launched the Densité Series XVP-1801 modular up/down/crossconverter with AFD (active format description) and background keying at NAB2007.
This new interface brings advanced HD processing to the Densité Series range, which offers remote control and monitoring over IP.
The XVP-1801 is Miranda's highest quality HD converter, which features advanced motion adaptive deinterlacing with anti-ringing. The XVP-1801 features a second HD/SD video input, which can be fed by background video to replace the black bars that are normally present during aspect ratio conversion.
Advanced automatic aspect ratio conversion is provided by AFD (SMPTE-2016), video index (RP-186) and by WSS. The XVP-1801 will also re-insert the proper AFD, VLI or WSS on the output, along with other HANC and VANC information. Automatic control of ARC presets is available via RS-232/422 and GPI.
