Model HD television station at NAB2005 to provide fully automated playback
NAB2005 attendees will get to see a functioning digital television station right on the exhibit floor.
The NAB-HD Pavilion will provide a hands-on look at everything that goes into running a high-definition broadcast facility. The television project will be operational in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center April 18–21.
A Sundance Digital Titan automation solution will manage two on-air channels using a pair of Thomson Grass Valley brand Profile XP Media servers. Titan can control up to hundreds of channels in a single facility or remotely manage playlists at multiple remote locations.
Output of the NAB-HD studio, including industry-related interviews and feature stories, will be fed to air via KVVU-TV (FOX 5) in Las Vegas. It also will be seen on various outlets throughout the convention center, on certain hotel channels, convention shuttle buses, and will be stored on streaming media servers for viewing via the Internet.
