Modulus Video Shrinks MPEG-4 Encoder
Modulus Video recently announced the company's release of the world's smallest multiformat MPEG-4 encoder unit. The device occupies but a single RU of space. It is software-switchable between standard and high definition and is the latest entry in the company's ME2000 series of encoders.
"Our IPTV customers have told us high performance coupled with operational flexibility is critically important to the development of their IPTV businesses," said Bob Wilson, chairman and CEO of Modulus Video. "The new ME2000 series of encoders is a tremendous value; it is the only MPEG-4 AVC encoder that easily and cost-effectively provides high quality HD or SD in a single 1 RU platform enabling service providers to adapt to changing market requirements."
The new encoder will go on display June 5 at the GLOBALCOM 2006 event in Chicago's McCormick Place. The event continues through June 7.
