Multidyne to roll out SDI/audio fiber transport
Multidyne will unveil the DTV-4200 4-channel SDI and audio fiber-optic transport and the DTV-250 analog and digital audio multiplexer and demultiplexer for serial digital video at IBC2006.
The DTV-4200 4-channel SDI and audio fiber-optic transport delivers high-quality performance with built-in SDI frame synchronizers. The system supports four SDI, 16 audio or eight AES/SPDIF channels. The unit is also available in other configurations, including:
- DVM-4200: A four-video and 16-audio channel fiber-optic link
- DVM-8200: An eight-video and 32-audio channel fiber-optic link
A one rack-unit, modular tray can house up to three DVM-4200, DVM-8200 or DVM-8200 cards.
The DTV-250 digital audio multiplexer and demultiplexer supports four channels of analog audio or two stereo AES/SPDIF channels per card. Multiple cards can be cascaded to support up to 16 audio channels per SDI stream.
The system supports 143, 177, 270, 360 and 540Mb/s serial digital video and 24-bit audio at 48KHz. The DTV-250 offers up to eight channels of RS232, RS422, RS485 or CMOS/TTL in the analog audio mode. The system plugs into the Multidyne UTIL-200-DVM utility tray.
