NDS, a News Corp. company, and TANDBERG Television have expanded their relationship to provide an end-to-end solution for the broadband and IPTV markets.
VideoGuard, part of NDS’s IP content protection solution Synamedia, has been integrated into TANDBERG Television's IP Streamer.
As more telcos and fiber operators roll out video services, content protection has become a bigger issue for both operators and content owners. NDS’s Synamedia system includes VideoGuard content protection for both live TV and on-demand content.
Synamedia also includes XTV Encryptor, to encrypt high-quality content such as movies, and XTV Server, which combines the latest on-demand server technology with NDS content protection.
TANDBERG Television's TT7116 IP Streamer has been designed specifically for the TV-over-broadband-IP market and supports the delivery of TV and on-demand services over both IP and ATM.
