NetLogic Microsystems releases processor for Terabit routes, switchers
NetLogic Microsystems has begun initial production shipments of its NL71024XT knowledge-based processor, which has been optimized for next-generation Terabit routers and switches.
The high-performance NL71024XT processor is optimized for customers’ 100Gb/s next-generation ASICs and network processors to accelerate Internet Protocol version6 (IPv6) routing, quad-play convergence of video, voice, data and mobility, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), WebTV, and peer-to-peer (P2P) communications.
The NL71024XT processor offers superior packet processing capabilities through an advanced superscalar architecture with deep pipelining to enable the simultaneous processing of QoS, ACL security, voice/video packet forwarding, VPN and service awareness.
