NEXTAMP to show NexMaster watermarking at NAB2005

At NAB2005, NEXTAMP will unveil a system to secure HD and SD digital master copies. The content protection solution relies on patented Video Watermarking technology to thwart movie piracy.

Individual copies of dailies, masters and browsing versions of a movie can now contain an invisible digital watermark ID to dissuade the recipients from pirating content. This invisible stamp is robust to compression, conversion and resolution changes. The ID can be retrieved from any pirate sample (e.g. a DivX type file on the Internet or a black market DVD).

NexMaster is a watermark that gets embedded in either SD or HD formats during tape duplication or file copying. NexMaster is provided with SD-SDI, HD-SDI or Gig-E interfaces. The technology offers embedding in uncompressed material as well as directly within MPEG-2 or H.264 files.
