N Systems (NSI) has unveiled a new Viewer function for the MC5 PC-based remote control system for spectrum analyzers located at the central receive site.
Compatible with the spectrum monitor built into the Nucomm CR6D receiver and a variety of external units, the Viewer function allows an operator to monitor signal quality and identify problems caused by interfering signals, multi-path and excessive signal level.
The Viewer function operates in real time over the existing MC5 master-to-remote site communications path. It does not require a communications upgrade or a separate communications link.
