OmniBus Systems to Launch New Versions of iTX at NAB Show
OmniBus Systems will reveal new versions of the iTX master control and play-out application along with the OPUS content management and workflow suite at the NAB Show.
OmniBus iTX Version 1.2 Production and Transmission System combines all the functions of a broadcast master control and play-out chain in a single software application. Fully featured for both SD and HD environments, new iTX features include schedule preview; support for multiregional breaks and opt-outs; and capabilities for newsflash and roll-under situations.
OmniBus iTX Edit is a new editing solution for news and sports applications with an emphasis on speed and ease of use. iTX Edit makes it unnecessary to render a finished edit before going to air because the iTX playback engine can render the EDL in real time, with vision and audio effects, stills and captions.
The new OmniBus iTX Business Continuity Process is specially configured for business continuity (disaster recovery) applications that include media replication, fully redundant mirroring, remote operation after evacuation, and insertion of evergreen standby content based on the channel’s business rules.
A new version of the OmniBus OPUS content management system includes “soft-XML” support for customized logging and annotation, frame-accurate proxy generation and viewing, full-text indexing and searching, seamless integration with production editing systems like Avid and Final Cut Pro, and a Web browser environment for both Windows and Mac desktops. Operators can browse material in the system, make shot selections and transfer the EDL to a craft editor directly from their desktops.
OmniBus will be in Booth SU4205.
