OmniBus to roll out OPUS 2.0 at NAB2007

published At NAB2007, OmniBus Systems will unveil OPUS 2.0, which extends the company's video content management suite with new functions to assist the migration of content processing operations to standard IT platforms.
OPUS 2.0 delivers capabilities for end-to-end content processing, including soft-XML metadata support for customized logging and annotation, frame-accurate proxy generation and viewing, full-text indexing and searching, integration with production editing systems and standardized Web services data exchange.
The OPUS suite encompasses several key features, including:
- OPUS Ingest, which offers scheduled and on-demand ingest tools, including satellite and live feed recording, batch tape-to-server ingest, ad-hoc tape ingest and clip preparation, and digital file delivery;
- OPUS Content Management, which includes the searching, viewing, logging, and content annotation tools;
- OPUS Workflow tools for multistep content processing workflows; and
- OPUS Interchange, which provides an XML Web services gateway for the exchange of content metadata, playout schedules, record schedules, and workflow tasks.
