Opticomm Creates Fiber Optic System For LVDS
Opticomm has released the DVX-5000 LVDS, a fiber optic data transmission system configured for Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) transmission.
The latest addition to the DVX-500 family, the LVDS version can handle LVDS I/O levels at a rate of 25 to 600 Mbps. It can deliver gigabytes by using milliwatts and has low voltage power supply compatibility. The DVX-LVDS can transmit data signals up to 100Km and reconstruct the LVDS signals on the receiver end with no degradation. It uses a single mode 1310nm or 1550nm wavelength fiber for signal uniformity and is designed to meet the SONET/SDH optical interface.
Opticomm says incorporating a LVDS signal lets data transmission systems offer output stability not affected by fiber, attenuation, aging, splicing or other factors.
