Orad Goes 3D for IBC
Orad, a developer of broadcast graphics technology, is introducing four new 3D graphics systems at IBC2006.
3DWeather is a complete meteorology production suite for real-time visualization of weather data. 3D Weather generates 3D and 2D graphic templates and animations via Orad's 3Designer authoring software. The templates (designed by the station) are overlaid with weather data that is pumped onto the templates in real-time and visualized in the clearest possible manner by 3DWeather.
Also new at the Orad Stand is Version 4.0 of Maestro 3D, the company's 3D HD/SD character generator. The new version allows stations to load and take to air multiple graphics scenes. For example, a lower third, station logo, snipe and full frame background can be designed and stored as separate virtual channels and assembled together as one output channel, allowing various graphic elements to be taken on and off air independently without affecting other elements.
A new "multi-transition" feature allows users to select between multiple transition effects and apply those transitions between pages using drag and drop methodology. In addition, audio can now be embedded to each of the two video streams in stereo and can be mixed internally with audio files stored locally and can be associated to a certain object or animation.
3DTicker is an ActiveX-based application that can be used as a standalone ticker system, incorporated as part of Orad's Maestro controller or implemented as part of a dedicated controller that requires ticker functionalities. It is compatible with both HD and SD formats and can be implemented either on the up or down streams.
3DBrander is a full 3D graphics turnkey system that offers 3D and 2D templates using Orad's 3Designer authoring software. Graphics scenes are made of an unlimited number of layers, each with its own dedicated camera, which allows easy integration between 3D and 2D graphics. Multiple video feeds can be mapped on any of the graphic objects in the scene, up to 12 video streams are supported in SD, and six independent streams are supported in HD resolution. 3DBrander can be configured to work as a standalone device or as part of a larger setup.
Also at the Orad Stand is ADVision, part of Orad's family of sport enhancement and virtual advertisement products. ADVision allows users to insert virtual ads onto any type of sport event in real time.
Orad will be in Stand 9.411
