At IBC2004, Panasonic will show its recently introduced P2 technology based on removable flash memory in the camcorder, as well as new DVCPro50 and DVCProHD products.
Panasonic will show the AJ-SPX800 2/3-inch P2cam camcorder, the AJ-SPD850 studio recorder, the AJ-PCD10 card drive and 4GB and 2GB cards.
The Panasonic P2 system is designed to improve the efficiency of newsgathering by facilitating convenient location editing where removable flash memory cards are plugged into a laptop computer for immediate online broadcast-quality editing.
The company also will introduce the DVCPro50 AJ-SDC905 camcorder and the AJ-SD93 VTR. Both feature IEEE-1394 interfaces that can sustain 50Mb/s lossless transfers. The AJ-HD1200A is the first DVCProHD Desktop VTR with IEEE-1394 interface for 100Mb/s.
The AV-CGP300, an HD-capable real-time 3-D graphics processor designed for on-air sports and live graphics will also be on display. The system can render broadcast-quality 3-D graphics in 576/50i, 1080/50i.
The company will debut the AW-E650, AW-E350, AW-E750 and AW-E655 low-light convertible cameras.
