Prime Image highlights new version of Time Tailor
At NAB2008, Prime Image featured the newly released 1080i/720p version of its Time Tailor automatic micro-editing technology, which broadcasters can use to shorten the length of programming imperceptibly.
The latest version of Time Tailor also supports frame-accurate HD closed-captioning for post-production applications with frame. According to the company, live-to-air support for HD closed-captioning will be added soon.
Time Tailor uses Prime Image’s micro-editing technology to detect and remove video content automatically in a way that is virtually undetectable to the viewer. Broadcasters have used the SD version of the Time Tailor for several years on a daily basis to create up to an 8 percent reduction of time, in a 20- to 30-minute program, while continuing to report black hole presence during and following the reduction process.
