QuickPlay Media at last month’s CTIA WIRELESS IT & Entertainment 2007 show previewed version 4.0 of its OpenVideo platform, which features new elements for managing and delivering mobile TV services.
Quick Play Media has enhanced the OpenVideo platform to enable mobile operators to better manage and deliver large volumes of diverse content, as well as manage mediation and settlement issues with partners. Main features include:
- Enhanced content management capability, enabling more efficient loading and delivery of large volumes and types of high-quality content;
- Automated reporting, for quicker and more accurate mediation, reconciliation and payment with all partners;
- Specialty modules designed to make it simple for mobile operators to support ad models, add video and audio to social networking services and take advantage of location-based services;
- Support for WiMAX and other advanced networks, with optimized video delivery for WiMAX-enabled consumer electronics devices and a self-administration console, enabling mobile operators and partners to access a secure administration tool through which they can manage content in real time.
