Reliance Communications teams with Microsoft for IPTV in India

published Reliance Communications and Microsoft have announced a strategic partnership to deliver personalized television options in India through Reliance’s IPTV service.
The new features, which include VOD, DVR, instant channel changing and personal media sharing, will use Microsoft’s Mediaroom IPTV software platform.
The service is scheduled for launch by March 2008. The Reliance network reaches more than 13,000 towns and 500,000 villages in India.
