Remote Audio is now offering the MEON self-contained battery/mains power supply for powering sound carts used in film and video production environments.
The unit features an internal 29Amps per hour nickel metal hydride battery that provides 12V of DC power to 12 protected four-pin XLR outlets. When plugged into an AC main power outlet, its internal AC-DC supply takes over, providing up to 18A and taking the battery out of circuit and connecting it to its internal charger.
When AC power is removed (intentionally or accidentally), the battery takes over again. The unit features separate volt meter, amp meter, battery fuel gauge and charge status indicators that take the guess work out of power management.
