RF Central to introduce RFX-CMT II camera-mounted transmitters
RF Central will unveil its RFX-CMT-II camera-mounted transmitters for operation at both 2GHz and 5.8GHz bands during NAB2008.
While the 2GHz unit is designed for live electronic newsgathering (ENG) and sports broadcast applications and the 5.8GHz unit is geared for live sports stadium, arena coverage and license-free applications, both offer complete HD upgradeability with the latest high-quality, low-latency HD encoding technology.
Each supports HD, SDI, ASI or composite video signal inputs. The units are intended for live broadcasts, live stadium displays, surveillance and monitoring and situational awareness.
The compact units offer a variable 6MHz, 7MHz and 8MHz modulator, 100MW power output and full MPEG menu control. The units’ linear RF amplification technology limits spectral regrowth at full power to less than -35dBc.
