RF Central to introduce RFX-PHT-II 2GHz digital ENG transmitter
RF Central will introduce the RFX-PHT-II HD upgradeable portable 2GHz digital transmitter at NAB2008.
Using the company’s RFX-CMT-II camera-mounted transmitter, the PHT-II is designed to turn any news car into a live broadcast car and transform any run-and-shoot vehicle into a run-and-transmit vehicle.
The new weather-resistant, HD-upgradeable high-power digital transmitter has 5W power output as standard with other output levels available.
While the PHT-II is well suited for electronic newsgathering mobile use in the field, it also can be used in standalone mode for temporary transmit applications. Formats supported include 480i, 720p and 1080i. In addition, the unit can be configured to accept composite or component analog video, HD/SDI digital signals and an ASI input.
With frequency selection ranging up to 16 pre-set channels that tune in 0.25MHz increments via the CMT-II control panel, the PHT-II offers multiple modes of COFDM modulation including QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM.
