Rohde & Schwarz expands capabilities of digital video measurement system
Rohde & Schwarz has broadened the capabilities of the R&S DVM digital video measurement system for generating, monitoring, analyzing and recording MPEG-2 transport streams.
The platform, a measurement system for ATSC/8VSB and J.83/B, and IPTV, now allows monitoring of up to 300 TV services over one Gigabit Ethernet interface. A template monitoring option — the R&S DVM-K10 — is now available for automatic detection of undesired changes in the transport stream. The company has added real-time buffer analysis to the template monitoring option to allow analysis of both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4/AVC/H.264-encoded signals.
The R&S DV-H264 transport stream library is now available for the R&S DVM400. The library includes video content in formats that are MPEG-4/AVC/H.264-encoded. The R&S DVM family expands the detail analysis of these signals into a complete H.264 analyzer with the R&S DVM-K200 option.
