Rohde & Schwarz has expanded its R&S DVM family of MPEG-2 transport stream measurement devices with the new Electronic Service Guide (ESG) analyzer.
With DVB-H, ESG is transferred to mobile user equipments together with TV content. ESG is a prerequisite for displaying DVB-H services on user equipment. The ESG analyzer supports both the OMA-BCAST and DVB-IPDC standards. It checks the correct setup of the signals and presents them in an easy-to-read display.
The ESG analyzer is available for all models of the R&S DVM family. Its Service View function provides a straightforward display of all transferred details of the individual services, such as program contents, starting and end time, program information, and access requirements. Program providers can easily check whether all services are listed and whether they are detected by the user equipment.
