Sanken and Zaxcom partner for COS-11D lavalier microphone
Zaxcom has partnered with Sanken, maker of ultra-miniature lavalier microphones, to introduce the new COS-11D lavalier microphone, optimized for use with Zaxcom's digital wireless recording transmitters. The product is a new version of Sanken's COS-11, incorporating design advances that deal specifically with digital and digital/analog hybrid wireless transmission.
In today's wireless transmission systems, the microphone must remain unaffected by the new forms of transmitter signals. These new systems present challenges in the area of emission protection. Sanken Microphones has designed the COS-11D specifically to reduce the instances in which interference is an issue. The new COS-11D version will be introduced this month in limited quantities of the PT (pig tail) version with standard sensitivity and the Red Mark model with reduced sensitivity.
