Scopus to Focus on DSNG, IP Video at NAB
Scopus Video Networks will demonstrate its digital satellite newsgathering technology as well as a new encoders/decoders for DVB-S2 at NAB2006.
Scopus’s DSNG system uses the DVB-S2 modulation scheme to save bandwidth along with hardware for SD MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoding.
Available in a slim 1RU chasis, the UE-9218 all-in-one universal encoder features simultaneous MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 SD encoding with built-in DVB-S2 modulation and upconversion.
Several new decoders in the Scopus’ IRD-2900 product line will be demonstrated, including a DVB-S2 version and another targeting transmission over IP networks. A comprehensive IP-based video networking system will also be highlighted.
Scopus will be in Booth SU4175.
