SeaChange Expands Streaming Capabilities with Memory Blade
SeaChange has introduced its new Memory Streaming Blade.
The add-on for deployed SeaChange IP video systems increases total streaming capacity by a factor of eight, according to SeaChange, and allows operators to serve TV content from memory.
The compact blade fits in many SeaChange MediaCluster video service chasses, establishing greater capacity within the same IP video system footprint. The blade combines on-board memory and processing power, and its own GigE network connections, SeaChange reports.
More than one Memory Streaming Blade can be inserted per server chassis, allowing customers to gain tens of thousands of additional streams from a single MediaCluster rack with this blade.
