SGI Amps Up the Graphics With Tezro
Silicon Graphics Inc. has upgraded its workstation line with the SGI Tezro visual workstation with quad-processing power, advanced graphics quality and performance, high-bandwidth architecture and a full suite of professional digital features.
The company says the Tezro costs 20 percent less than the SGI Octane2 system.
Tezro can scale up to four MIPS processors and incorporates a desktop architecture based on SGI supercomputers. It’s equipped with SGI VPro V12 graphics and 12-bit-per-component RGBA fidelity. It can display large data sets at high resolution and can support four simultaneous, synchronized displays.
With support for two streams of high-definition 10-bit 4:4:4:4 RGBA video Texro delivers power previously available only on SGI Onyx systems.
The company also announced Onyx4 UltimateVision, with leaps in scalability, features and affordability.
