Snell & Wilcox Brings HD, 3 Gpbs Transition Tools
Snell & Wilcox will come to IBC2008 with a range of products to help broadcasters transition their operations to HDTV and 3 Gbps operations with a flexible, centrally controlled infrastructure.
With more than 400 intelligent component building blocks, Snell’s IQ Modular provides compatibility with 3G emerging standards and metadata-rich infrastructures, as well as current analog, SD and HD standards. Modules featured will include IQDSK00, an HD/SD downstream keyer; IQSPI00, an interfacing product with custom-configurable operational control; and the IQSDA2 series of single- and dual-channel SD/HD/3G-capable distribution products. New additions also include advanced Dolby E processing enhancements.
Snell will also show the new single-unit IQHIP00, a second-generation Hyperion quality-control engine. IQHIP00 features a dedicated local monitoring output in addition to remote IP thumbnailing capability and real-time, frame-accurate content status.
RollMap V3.1, the latest version of the company’s flagship control and monitoring system, incorporates custom-defined controls, SMS and e-mail alerts, real-time status and event reporting, audio-level metering, and advanced alarm-level masking and filtering. The RollSNMP V2.3 includes advances in system-level performance and integration of third-party SNMP traps into RollMap.
Also in the monitoring world is QC Station, an automated quality assurance system that leverages the algorithms of Hyperion to provide alarms and on-screen display of faults or anomalies in audio, video, and metadata.
In addition, Snell will display the latest improvements to its Alchemist Ph.C frame-rate standards converter and its Kahuna line of switchers.
Snell & Wilcox will be at Stand 8.B77.
