Softier to launch WAVE-400 set-top box
By TVTechnology
published Softier will introduce its WAVE-400 set-top box, which is based on Texas Instruments’ second-generation media DSP, the DaVinci System-on-a-Chip, next month at IBC2006 in Amsterdam.
The WAVE-400 is a second generation IP-STB platform that combines hardware and software to enable multi-play service delivery, including the capability for operators to integrate two-way video communications, VoIP, time-shifting and place-shifting from a single box.
At the trade show, the company will also demonstrate a range of STB products targeted to IPTV operators and service providers.
